Technique: White marble, on a later red marble base

Dimensions: 8,5 x 7 x 7,5 cm. Height including base: 20 cm

Condition: Losses and worn areas, consistent with age.

Provenance: Coll. Count Arco Schönberg (Munich); Gallery Julius Böhler (Munich, 1988); Gallery Seghers & Pang (Brussels);art market.

 Fragmentary sculpture of Gothic period, representing a lady's head, covered with a veil, perhaps a Madonna.

This piece is published in the 1988 catalogue of the prestigious Gallery Julius Böhler, and dated circa 1380. The catalogue will be offered with the sculpture.
